Poem of Hope

Our country now has a fresh start With the new president who will unite us with a spark Though we have been through so much this past year We should not have anything to fear Because we will always be there for each other far or near

Now more than ever we need to come together as a whole No matter your gender, race, or soul America is a place for everyone so there should be no more hate for other races No more discrimination or prejudice for others just love and compassion for everyone at all the different places We should be spreading kindness instead of spreading rumors When you spread such hate do not think of it as humor

We should all accept each other no matter what our differences are But to some of you that may be bizarre We should work together to rise up as one And begin to mend the bond of our nation that has been undone

So it's time to get up and make a change And take the spotlight that's on our stage So we need to pave the way for the future Stop sitting all day on our computers

America is a country of hope where dreams come true Where we come together to help and pursue Lately we have grown apart Separated by the color of our skin instead of our hearts We must find the light that is inside of us all And look beyond the darkness that separates us like a wall

We need to understand that we are all special That we all have enough potential That we can be great no matter our level

That it should not matter our ethnicity, gender, or skin color That all that really matters is our compassion for one another
